Fifty years have passed since the events of the first Vampire Knights. The last encounter between Zero, Yuki and Kaname ended with a blotched stain in history. Cross Academy still continues on though - but can it conceal the shadows it once tried to hide? The Order after losing many of its members, have slowly been regaining strength and has re-established its former glory that it once had in the past. With the scarcity of vampires now after the Bloodpurge, fewer Vampire Hunters roam the city streets and more townsfolk can sleep without worry.
But there still are vampire hunters. As the balance of power shifts from the once powerful Purebloods to the more common Level D's and Level C's, these vampires blame their troubles on the negligent decisions made by the Elder of the Order and act rebelliously - forming their own so-called 'liberation front'; a vanguard. They attack and hunt humans relentlessly without care nor consideration, and that brings us back to the vampire hunters whom are more than willing to kill one to claim his share of bounty - or just to ensure that feeling of security for the good of men once more.
Headmaster Cross proposed a fragile peace treaty between the vampires and the human students of his Academy - though in reality, the human population of the school were never told that dark secret of the Night Class's true nature - and is slowly gathering his own squadron of forces or mediators to pacify the conflict. He has already done so by employing two Day Class students; Zeiven Delacroix and Rakuna Nagi as to be the Academy's 'Guardian's. While their duties may seem insignificant or mediocre towards the Headmaster's finale plan, they play a bigger role than they would expect. As for the vampires - with the Headmaster's habit to often overlook things, is this a perfect opportunity to finally drink fresh blood - or is it chance to make things right again?
Will this fragility of contentment they call 'peace' continue? What will you choose?
