Stonewood, formerly known as Aerios the kindgom of water(only called that because they were surrounded by water) in ancient times, but it formed into Stonewood in recent years of trying to escape the old ways. The kingom had once been ruled by many, but it was their last Queen that had made this town for what is known as today.
Nya Requiem the daughter of Cypress Reqiuem and some mistress that he had. She always followed under her father, her father at the time was considered a good king for the most part but it somehow could bee seen she wanted power for herself. But there was something different about Cypress and Nya that the public refused to take notice to until Nya revealed it to them, they were born as monsters, particularly undead being called vampires to be exact.
Such a thing was unknown of in the walls of Aerios. After some mysterious accident that resulted in Cypress death, most likely his daughter involvement, she became queen. When she did everyone expected the same powerful greatness that her father once reflected and at first this seemed to be true, but slowly something much more evil was corrupting in this girl.
Nya eventually enslaved all humans of Aerios under her evil powers as Queen and as a Vampire she possessed abilties that the people of Aerios soon feared. They were trapped under her ruling for some time until a band of warriors (now known as the hunter association in present days) came together with a plan to bring down Nya the undead queen.
Nya learned of this soon, and the unborn child she carried was the only thing she worried about, not herself. She already had a beautiful son and well her human lover, actually turned human into vampire lover, vowed to protect their children from these hunters.
It was a dark night when all errupted in Aerios, the band of hunters had came after Nya, she had just given birth to her beautiful daughter Naleia Requiem. The band of warriors came bursting through the Kingdom walls, Nya was furious and ordered her servants to take a her children to a hidden place until she could come for them but with misunderstanding it was thought the warriors had gotten to her children and her lover beforehand and Nya was deeply saddened.
Out of rage before taking her own life Nya set a curse on the people of Aerios that their unborn children would be born as the same undead monster that she was born as, some would be born as men that could turn into wolves, and the rest would remain humans that would suffer from it. At the end of her curse she took her own life and her ashes were fallen into the earth.

It was true of what the evil queen had said and for centuries that town of Aerios had suffer from giving birth to such devil babies, at least they considered them devil babies for them to be born of the same monster as Nya once was. They feared their own childern and some feared to have children at all. This fear spread throughout Aerios but it was too late to turn their backs now.
Now Stonewood, formly known as Aerios, have somewhat shifted away from the old ways and fears of the ancient myth since with time such creatures seemed to disappear and the people of the recent time consider them myth and that perhaps the old queen's wrath disappeared or was just a way to scare the people of Aerios for trying to destroy her family. Though people do believe her children did escape and perhaps her lover even and they are living among them now hidden as everyone else to keep from bringing public to their attention. They could be waiting to bring down Stonewood again into such evil.
But even with the newly established school in the old castle, people say it's haunted and the ghost of Nya can be seen roaming around there, screams can be heard at night, some say they can hear her weeping and others can say they can smell fresh blood from her victims. But it could be all apart of one's imagination, but could it be true Nya's evil really still exist and that such creatures and even others that have evolved live among them even now, just hidden? There is still a band of hunters that put it in their duty to find such creatures and destroy them.
It's a myth that Stonewood continue to carry, and only their ancestors really know the truth.
