Goldwin was rather famished... Which was, in fact the reason he was sitting under an apple tree. It was also the reason he had an apple in one hand, and a basketful to his right. Actually, he was absolutely starved. My, you could probably hear his little tummy growling from hlafway across the courtyard! That would not do, because, while it may've sounded cute, Goldwin did not think it was cute at all. He had, after all, missed both breakfast and lunch. Some very, very important meals!
But it was too bad that he had missed them both. Goldwin had forgotten to go to bed early, actually he was up all night studying for a very important test. Come morning, he had completely forgotten to take a shower, brush his teeth, even put on some new clothes! In fact, he had run outside of his dorm room a full one hundred meters before he noticed he was still in his pyjamas! Today wasn't Goldwin's day, but at least it was coming to an end.
Placing down an apple core next to himself and picking up a fresh one from the basket beside him, he honestly felt as if he could go on forever! He was still completely and utterly famished. Peering over the horizon, he could imagine himself, in a few hours, still wolfing down apples. And, just at that moment, as he was about to reach for another apple, a breeze passed him, rattling the branches of the tree. A few of the small, shiny red orbs were shaken loose, and a few of them promptly fell from the tree. "More apples," he sighed, giggling to himself, and leaning his head back against the tree.
